Forum: feature_films Subject: size of mpeg1 feature films

I have noticed that for the NEW additions, the size of the MPEG1 files have greatly increased. The older files appear to an average size of approx 200MB while the NEW feature films are from 600 to 800MB .The QuickTime feature films seem to be unchanged in average size. I cannot see that for viewing purposes the mpeg1 are any better than quick time files. It is a mystery to me.

Well, if you don't have QT pro you can't view the QT films fullscreen, and mpeg1 films are easier to burn to DVD for most people.
